Senior Race Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Race Engineer to join our elite NASCAR team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in vehicle dynamics, suspension systems, aerodynamics, and tire behavior to optimize vehicle performance and ensure a competitive edge on the track. This role will require a deep understanding of race car engineering principles and the ability to lead and collaborate within a high-performance team environment. This role will be predominantly a non-travel position working out of our race team headquarters, but may require limited travel to track tests, our remote testing facility or a few select race events

Responsibilities: 

    •  

  • Build, assemble, and modify NASCAR race cars from the chassis up according to team specifications and NASCAR regulations.
  • Perform custom welding, cutting, and fabrication of parts for the race car, including roll cages, sheet metal, suspension components, and other critical parts.
  • Install and align suspension systems, brake components, and drivetrain elements.
  • Ensure that all components meet NASCAR standards for safety, performance, and durability.
  • Collaborate with shop foreman, competition director, and other team members to troubleshoot, refine, and improve car performance.
  • Test and evaluate parts and components for optimal performance during practice sessions and on race day.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and modifications to existing race cars.
  • Track inventory of materials and parts, and order necessary supplies for car builds and repairs.
  • Assist in the design and development of new parts and innovative technologies for race cars.

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience in race car fabrication, preferably in NASCAR or a similar motorsport.
  • Strong welding, cutting, and fabrication skills, including experience with TIG, MIG, and other welding processes.
  • Proficiency in using fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, and metalworking machines.
  • Experience with NASCAR-specific components and systems, including chassis, suspension, and drivetrain.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards for NASCAR vehicles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, when required.

NASCAR Fabricator

As a NASCAR Race Truck Fabricator, you will work closely with the competition group and race teams to build, fabricate, and repair race car components. Your role is essential to ensuring the race cars are built to specifications outlined and able to perform at the highest-level during NASCAR events.
